I wish Subaru would sell the diesel model to the U.S. market. It’s been available in Europe for several years, but they’re publicly deadset against bringing it over here.

Seriously, though, we were honored to be there and to be a part of it. Even I got a little choked up watching the ceremony and seeing the truth and depth in what you were saying to each other. It was evident even without hearing the words. Don’t feel obligated to share those vows with us, because you weren’t saying them for our benefit.

Again and again, congratulations. I can’t express how happy I am for you.

The telescope is tempting, but I’m afraid I would end up in the same position as you with it. I’d probably stay up all night the first night looking at stuff, then put it away and not take it out until I decided it was time to sell it a year or so later.

@Nathan It has been a little over 3 weeks and I'm down 3 pounds, which matches my goal of 1 pound per week. Previously I was doing this via spreadsheet (and lots of estimation of what I ate during the day) for about 3 months and lost about 14 pounds, so I think the system is solid. Having this app on the iPhone just makes it easier, which means I'm more likely to stick with it.

Cool, I’ll try it out. I’ve been using WeightBot for tracking weight, but this looks like it’s got some useful features.
Has it worked for you? Have you lost weight with its help?

If you haven’t already read it — or even if you have — I highly recommend getting a copy of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. It doesn’t actually have a lot of information about motorcycle maintenance, but as I recall it does specifically talk about how to deal with balky screws.

You could always leave the stuff in the colander, in the soup (like if you have a strainer/collander/blanching thingy, just put the inedible bits in that but leave it in the broth)
